I find that sticking to a schedule as close to the original schedule works really well. I have 3 grandchildren (ages 10, 7, 6) that I am caring for during this school closure. Getting them at normal time, having breakfast, and even having them fix their lunchboxes and keeping them on task is best. If there’s a discipline issue, I give 2 warnings, and time-out with loss of privelege to participate in planned activity (cooking, art or i-pad). So far, it’s been good. When I have not followed the “routine” there was definitely chaos.
